Turning Point Art Workshop.

The Foundation hosted a unique painting workshop at the Turning Point Recovery Center.   Led by Emma Geller, a Master's student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling specializing in expressive art therapy, the workshop allowed those struggling with Substance Use Disorder to share creative expression, showcasing how the healing arts can foster recovery and resilience.

LGIU & CWS Workshop

Art therapists provide instruction in LGIU's art workshops to participants desiring self-expression through visual art. LGIU is developing a gallery to display participants' work at the CWS building and other community organizations and schools. Galleries will raise awareness about the opioid epidemic and give participants a sense of accomplishment and an opportunity to share their work with others.

Participants create a touchstone, their painting, as a healing tool, supporting the recovery community’s ongoing sense of worth.
